Thank-You From the Community – PRO Personal v5
A MooseFS PRO Personal user sent us an unsolicited note of appreciation – and it touches on the things we care about most: people, the software, and the community.
Most of the messages we receive are questions, bug reports, or requests for help. And then, every once in a while, we receive something a little different.
Recently, Gabriel, a member of the MooseFS Community running MooseFS PRO Personal, sent us a message that made our day:
“I would like to thank and congratulate you for the special support and human attention, and all of the MooseFS technical team for the quality of the software, and the management for the decisions regarding open source and pricing.”

Messages like this mean a lot to us, not only because of the kind words, but because they touch on the things we care about most.
People. When someone reaches out for support, there is a person on the other side of that conversation. We want our users to feel that they are talking to someone who actually listens, understands the problem, and wants to help.
The software. MooseFS PRO is built by the same technical team whether it is running in a home lab or supporting a large production environment. We care about making the software reliable, useful, and worth trusting in both.
The community. We also believe that good software should remain accessible to people who simply want to learn, experiment, build something at home, or see what MooseFS can do. That is one of the reasons we introduced the PRO Personal license, with up to 20 TiB available free of charge and a simple pricing model based on raw storage above that limit.
Gabriel’s message was a nice reminder that these decisions matter beyond pricing tables and product pages. They reach real people using MooseFS, experimenting with it, learning from it, and building their own environments.
So this one is a little different from our usual posts. It’s simply a thank you for the thank you.
And we’re happy to have you in the MooseFS Community, Gabriel.
